"I just have to write and thank you for the wonderful residential visit we had. Several parents have been in touch with me to say how much their children enjoyed the week and how they haven't stopped talking about their experiences. I have to say that I also thoroughly enjoyed the week. I used to come home after a residential visit thinking thank goodness that is over for another year. Now I come back wishing that I could do it all again next week. My new deputy is desperate to come next year. I have told her she can come with me but I am not going to let her take over the running of the visit because I wouldn't want to miss it myself for anything! You have an excellent team and everyone contributed towards making it a very special week for us all." Gill Peters, Hemyock School, September 2007
"We had a fantastic time with you. Everyone - children and staff – came back exhilarated and keen to pursue the activities they had started to learn. As a veteran of many school camps, I can honestly say that you thought of, and took care of our every need – even quite personal ones!
The activities were great, with the right level of challenge and many parents report that their children’s self-esteem has rocketed! The children themselves can’t stop talking about the trip, and ‘sawsome’ is now part of the class vocabulary!" Louisa Bray, Burlsecombe School, September 2007
“To all the Call of the Wild staff, thanks for such a fantastic week – it was fabulous. We’ll be back!” Staff from Berkswell School
“Just wanted to say a huge thank you to each and everyone of the team. I’m sure I can speak for all of us when I say what a fantastic week we all had with you, it was really good fun. I had a great week full of fun and laughs. Much love and thanks to you all.”
Jule Dixon – Castle Batch Primary School Staff.
“The students loved the trip, they all had a great time and got the evidence required. It was a fantastic experience and I ask that you pass on our heartfelt thanks to all involved” – Rob Greening, Godalming College
“All the pupils had a wonderful time and I have received lots of positive feedback from parents. Pupils are still talking about it, they have experienced activities that they never would otherwise and I witnessed several shine. Please say thanks to all the staff that enabled this to happen. It was a rare treat and I will definitely bring another troop if allowed. Take care and many thanks again.” Linda Weiler, Tendering College.
“The School of Leisure and Tourism has used Call of the Wild for...training and vocational educational development for our students. I would not hesitate in sending students to Call of the Wild based upon their performance and professionalism”
Ian Jenkins, WAAM Course Tutor, Swansea Institute of Higher Education
"My favourite activity was caving. Before I did caving I thought it was boring but now it's cool and wicked, I want to do caving now when I'm older because it's so awesome!" Call of the Wild is the coolest and is amazing and I'll never forget any part of CALL OF THE WILD!" Ashley Pearce, Year 6, Castle Batch Primary School
“I am sure you will agree that the day went extremely well. This was mainly due to your professionalism and good sense of humour. It was great to meet with you all and I look forward to meeting you again soon. Thank you for making the day a great success.” Hope House Children’s Respite Hospice
“The experiences you provided not only excited and tested them but brought the best out in a number of individuals that is not often witnessed in the class situation” Cedwyn Davies, Head of Year, Year 5/6 Crynant Primary School
Call of the Wild was great I had the best time ever and I know everyone else did too. Thank you for giving us a swell time, great staff and great activities we had a great time and it was really worthwhile. I liked canoeing and gorge walking best and this is why: The canoeing because it was very simple and fun especially when we jumped in, the gorge walking because we got to jump off a waterfall and get wet. I told all my friends about it and they wished they could go too. If anyone offered me to go again I would say yes any day. I really hope to see you all again someday, anyway bye for now and best wishes from Christopher Bailey
“Thank you for involving our pupils in the outdoor pursuits yesterday. These were of great benefit to the pupils and we are very grateful for your support.” Blaendulais Primary School
On behalf of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Wales and all the young people who attended the BP Gold residential I would like to pass on our sincere thanks to you and all your instructors who contributed to make last week a fantastic success.
The delivery of the 4 sessions was first class with all the instructors demonstrating a high degree of professionalism and of course the compulsory “Call of the Wild” sense of humour! The participants’ feedback on the evaluation forms regarding the activities was tremendous with every superlative being used. Please pass on our sincere thanks to all the instructors, and thanks again for helping to make the week such a success – Ian Gwilym ,Manager, D of E Wales
‘….I liked the gorge walk also because I got very wet! I had to walk through very, very deep waters! Now that was wicked! I liked the room a lot. Because all the girls shared a room, we’re all better friends than before. BUT the thing I liked the most was……..GETTING WET AND DIRTY!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you all very much for that! Love Mollie Ford
“Year 6 have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the staff are smiling too!”
Just a quick note to thank you all for our Adventure Experience! Everyone from St Marks had a great week and the students gained a great deal in terms of personal achievement. However the one thing that stands out above all others was the care and attention and support given to the less able students as this was exemplary. Thanks once again and hope to visit again –

I had a really nice time with you last week and it was really fun. I liked all the food, drink and puddings! The best activities I liked were the gorge walking, caving and canoeing they were the best ones and the ropes course, I liked them because I had never done them before. By Dion Ackland PS can I come again? I really enjoyed that week when we came to you. You really made the week….FUN UNFORGETTABLE and not to mention DARING!!! I hope you enjoyed the week just as much as we did. I did everything we were asked to do which I am quite proud of! But couldn’t have done it without you!!! I would especially like to thank Ceri for when I got scared in the caves! THANKS!!!! See you again (hopefully) – Jessica
The caving was really cool, I liked the slide. I enjoyed the kayaking I never knew I was good at it, plus it was great fun. From Kai Riley
I liked caving because we could go through lots of small gaps. The gorge walking was my favourite because we could jump off the waterfall. In the cave the water was freezing!!! I still loved it though. From Cameron. PS can we come again please.
We are all most unhappy about being back at school and wish we were enjoying the ‘great outdoors’ with you and the pets! Thank you once again for all your help – Paul Spindler, Headteacher Corpus Christi School

how much time the instructors were prepared to give - other centres have been
restricted by staff wanting to clock off"

Just a brief message to say a HUGE thank you to all of the team that made our
residential such a success. I have had a de-brief with all of the students and,
without exception, all agreed that the week was extremely well organised and
that all of your staff were great.

"First I would like to thank you for the great five days, it was alot of
fun. My funniest moment was when I went climbing. Ashley climbed up about 90cm
and then he started to shout I'm gonna die. We were laughing for about 20 minutes"
David Knapp,
Year 6 Castle Batch Primary School

"I enjoyed every single activity with you lot. You're the best! the gorge
walking was the best as we jumped off a waterfall. The climbing and abseiling
were OK but I didn't like it when I got to the top and didn't want to come down.
It was the scariest moment of my life..I honestly could have have wet myself.
But I didn't! Pweeh!"
