ACTIVITY KIT LIST
A minimum list of clothing and equipment for individual group members is
Climbing and Mountain Biking:
Asthma pumps or medication
Boots with good tread and firm ankle support (can be provided)
Wind proof trousers (No jeans) to be worn e.g. track suit bottoms - No shorts
Two to three layers on top depending on conditions - one must be a long sleeved
warm layer e.g. Pullover or thick sweatshirt should be worn
Waterproof top and overtrousers (can be provided)
Food and Drink if activity is to last more than one session (a morning or afternoon)
Hill\ Mountain Walking:
In addition to the
above
Food and Drink(Hot flask in winter)
Hat, gloves and spare pullover or similar
Rucksack
Two pairs of socks (preferably cotton inners not nylon to prevent blisters)
to be worn
Gorge Walk:
In addition to the
above
a towel
full change of clothes should also be carried
Caving:
Asthma Pumps and\or
medication
Three top layers e.g. two T -Shirts and a sweatshirt, one must be long sleeved
Loose fitting long trousers - not jeans or shorts
Two thick socks
Wellington boots or old walking boots
Complete change of clothes
Towel
Flask (or at least one large flask per group)
An oversuit or Waterproofs will be provided plus lamp, helmet and belt.
Canoeing:
We will provide canoe cag & wetsuits
Asthma Pumps or Medication
Two tops (one must be long sleeved)
Track suit bottom or equivalent (No jeans)
Warm Hat
Old trainers
Towel
Flask
Full change of clothes
Wetsuit to be provided for winter canoeing (except canal)
We will provide Canoeing helmet, buoyancy aid & spray deck as required
